Middle Ground was created with the intention to provide a beautiful, calming space for people to come and sit, work, socialise, to just be.. and enjoy the highest quality coffee in the area with a delicious locally made bagel. This has been achieved since opening the doors in Feb 2020.

We have attracted an extremely loyal customer base of predominantly locals and die-hard coffee lovers.

Offering something completely unique and modern in the area, a simple menu consisting of topped bagels by local crafter BaeGal Bagels, specialty coffee from Single O, housemade herbal tonics, Bare Blends smoothies, Mork Hot Chocolate and Mayde Tea. Our suppliers have been specially hand picked - ethically aligned and of the highest quality in the industry nation wide.

Middle Ground is an extremely simple business to operate. It can be run with one staff member on at a time with clear systems put in place to make the operations flow effortlessly. Everything can be achieved in a working day and once you close the door behind you at 2pm there is no more to think or worry about.

Expenses (per week):

Rent: $385 (extremely low)

Milk: $300

Coffee: $300

Food: $500

Electricity: $150

POS system, WiFi, insurance: $53

Wages: $1175

Packaging: $50

TOTAL COSTS: $2,913

TURN OVER: $3,700 av. over past 8 months (during covid lockdown, therefore huge opportunity for higher turnover moving forward)

Annual Profit: $40,900 on top a comfortable weekly wage for the operator.
